Commissioner

Sandra Meadows, Voscur’s new Chief Executive Officer, is a committed advocate for both the VCSE (non-profit) sector and the city which has been her home for the past 29 years which, she believes, should be ambitious and determined on its journey to becoming a beacon of diversity and inclusion.

Her background covers a variety of roles within the private, corporate (Unilever) and voluntary/charitable sectors including marketing and PR, human resources, business restructuring and development and a variety of senior management positions.  Her move into the Bristol VCSE some 20 years ago was fuelled by her desire to help address inequality and challenges within Bristol through her day to day work.

Sandra, a member of the Bristol Mayoral Commission for Women and Vice-Chair of the BWC Representation Task Group, has served as a Voluntary Sector Advocate for Voscur and worked extensively with Bristol City Council through a number of local strategic Boards and partnerships.  During her career she has also held a variety of non-executive and governorship roles and continues to devote personal time to a number of charities in the city.

Sandra is a member of The Chartered Management Institute (CMI), an Associate with the Bristol based Centre for Mentoring & Coaching and launched her own consultancy in 2015 covering business and leadership coaching.

Sandra works to achieve positive transformation and improvement within individuals and organisations, encouraging creativity and new ways of thinking. With a strong interest in embedding diversity in leadership and professional and organisational improvement, her approach is empathic, challenging and solution focussed.
